Dr. Kelly is a native of Raleigh, NC. She is also a graduate of Broughton High School (’85). She attended UNC-Chapel Hill for her undergraduate degree (BA- Biology and Chemistry) and volunteered at NC Memorial Hospital. She also volunteered through the Campus Y to tutor children after school. Between her undergraduate degree and medical school, Dr. Kelly worked at Planned Parenthood in Raleigh. She attended East Carolina Medical School and graduated in 1996 (same class as Dr. Shaw). She was co-chair for a medical student run clinic at the Greenville homeless shelter. Her first child was born during her third year of medical school, so life became a lot more interesting! Her family moved to Winston-Salem for residency at Bowman Gray School of Medicine. Dr. Kelly’s second child was born the last month of her residency and her family moved back to Raleigh in 1999. She joined Rex Healthcare as a pediatrician that year and practiced with Auman, Anderson, Munt, and Daumen pediatric group. She became a partner with them in 2001 and they changed their name to White Oak Pediatric Associates. She has participated with the Rex Hospital Pediatric Quality Assurances Committee over the last several years. Dr. Kelly joined Oberlin Road Pediatrics in March 2013. She lives with her husband and two teenage boys in Raleigh and enjoys family trips to the mountains and being outdoors.
Dr. Kelly retired from Oberlin Road Pediatrics in February 2022.
